Louisville’s Highway and Roadway Infrastructure: A Performance Review

It was late 2016 when two spectacular bridges connecting Louisville to Indiana opened for traffic. Ten years later, how is that working out? And more broadly, for the city’s highway and roadway infrastructure, what is going well? What needs to be better or different? What are the plans moving forward? This discussion will occur on the heels of a two-month closure of I-65, and three blocks from the daily 2nd Street gridlock created by commuters crossing the 96-year-old Clark Memorial Bridge, avoiding the tolls of the newer bridges.
